The redevelopment of the Comprensivo Institute in Supersano aims to create a safer, more inclusive and efficient school, thanks to the adaptation of facilities, the removal of architectural barriers and the creation of new sports and educational spaces more functional.

Retraining for the education of the future

In 2015, in Supersano (Lecce), a major renovation of public school buildings was carried out, involving the middle and primary schools of the State Comprehensive Institute. The project, falling under the category of public and institutional housing, aimed to make school environments more safe, inclusive and welcoming, responding to new educational and regulatory needs. A strategic operation to improve the quality of school life for students, teachers and staff.

Energy efficiency and accessibility

Among the main interventions, particular attention was paid to the energy efficiency of buildings, with the adoption of technological solutions aimed at reducing consumption and increasing environmental comfort. In addition, the facilities were upgraded and architectural barriers removed, ensuring full accessibility to all people, in line with the principles of inclusion and equity. The intervention has therefore strengthened the role of the school as an open, safe and functional space for the community.

Renovated spaces and new sports facilities

The project has also provided for the enhancement of sports, with the construction of new facilities dedicated to motor activity and play, fundamental for the psycho-physical development of students. At the same time, the aesthetic and functional aspect of internal and external spaces has been enhanced, making them more attractive and stimulating, to encourage dynamic and participatory learning. An intervention that combines urban regeneration and attention to the school environment, helping to form aware citizens in a modern and sustainable educational context.
