Urban redevelopment in Alezio: multipurpose space, parking with photovoltaic panels, cycle-pedestrian path and technological installations for a sustainable and integrated urban model.
Urban regeneration between sustainability and services
In 2015 Alezio (Lecce) has seen the realization of an urbanization intervention on 1.622 sqm, aimed at improving public spaces and urban services. The project involved three integrated areas: a multi-purpose space, a parking lot with photovoltaic roofs and a cycle-pedestrian path.
Inclusive and educational multipurpose space
The new public space houses a pedestrian zone, a small square for sociability and an educational garden with an educational and environmental vocation. A usable and inclusive area, designed to foster community life and active participation.
Parking with photovoltaic roofs and urban greenery
The 13-car parking lot is covered by wooden structures with photovoltaic panels, which promote energy self-sufficiency. Flower beds and trees improve the urban landscape and microclimate, integrating sustainability and visual quality.
Sustainable link with cycle-walking route
A cycle-walking trail connects the different areas, promoting sustainable mobility, safety and an active lifestyle. A route that enhances urban continuity and reduces environmental impact.
Innovative plant engineering for the environment
The project included electrical, water and sewerage systems, public lighting and a system for treating early rains. A collection tank connected to the irrigation system ensures the maintenance of green areas with attention to water resources.
An example of sustainable urban planning
The intervention at Alezio is a model of integration between infrastructures, installations and public spaces. A project that improves urban quality, promotes sustainability and contributes to community well-being.
