Urban regeneration and social inclusion: a project that enhances environmental education, sustainability and integration. Educational arboretum, social gardens and shared spaces for a greener and more inclusive future.

Urban regeneration and social enhancement

  • Creation of an educational arboretum
  • Development of social gardens managed according to the principles of the SISUS strategy
  • Collective green space with sunshade canopy, ideal for outdoor lessons, experiments and educational activities, according to the principles of the SISUS strategy
  • Irrigation system with rainwater reuse, in synergy with other interventions in the strategy (OT VI)
  • LED lighting for greater energy efficiency

Eco-friendly materials and sustainable approach

This approach fosters a virtuous cycle of socio-economic and cultural development, enhanced by the connection with other SISUS strategy interventions, in collaboration with partner municipalities.

Innovations: environmental education and social inclusion

The educational arboretum, social gardens and outdoor classroom will constitute an area dedicated to social inclusion and legality, creating a space for citizens and vulnerable people (such as those experiencing economic difficulties, people with legal issues, asylum seekers, etc.) to meet and share.

Solidarity and social inclusion goals

Gardening activities, care of green areas, planting of flowers and essences, and garden management for the production of edible species will be planned. The goal is to promote solidarity, break down prejudices, and empower citizens in caring for urban greenery as a common good.

Positive impact on the territory and quality of life

The strategy promotes a network of social solidarity, encouraging the employment of disadvantaged people through vocational training and the care of public spaces, such as green areas. This stimulates local knowledge and civic sense among citizens, improving quality of life and social inclusion in the area.
