A new multi-purpose sports facility for our city

The construction works for the new multi-purpose sports facility in Via Potenza, Lecce, are about to be completed.

With an area of approximately 24,000 square meters, the new branch of the Tennis Club will be entirely dedicated to the game of tennis, basketball and volleyball and will be the stage for competitions at regional and national level. The aim is to enhance the offer of spaces for sporting practice, but at the same time create a new gathering place within a rapidly expanding district where there have recently been various regeneration and development interventions.

The sports facilities will be easily accessible on foot or by public transport and will be equipped with numerous parking lots specially arranged around the area.

The works, scheduled for completion in August 2023, will lead to the creation of seven outdoor playgrounds, some of which are for tennis only and others are multipurpose for tennis, basketball, volleyball and paddle, and two covered tennis courts. The construction of a service centre is also planned, which will house changing rooms, toilets, a room used as an emergency room, a multipurpose room and a refreshment point.
